EPFO Registration Issues: How to Fix Employee Code Mismatches?

We have enrolled our employees with EPFO, and individual employee codes have been generated. When we ask our employees to go to the EPFO portal and register, an entry MISMATCH appears. Who is responsible for this mismatch? How can we rectify this?

If you include a space or a dot between the first name and surname during registration, the same character must also be used at the time of employee registration. If not, you will receive such a response.

You can rectify the mistake in the PF portal or by bringing it to the notice of PF authorities in the initial stages. Please seek guidance from the PF Inspector of your area.
