Interest Under WC Act Payable From Date Of Accident And Not Date Of Award - Supreme Court

pca
Dear friends,
Supreme Court has held that in case of claim under WC Act (now Employees Compensation Act 1923), interest is payable from the date of accident and not from the date of award. Copy of court's judgement dated 2.1.2014 in this regard is attached for your information.
Thanks

Good and proper decision by the court
otherwise, insurance company was being rewarded for delaying tactics.
I think the order should have been revised to adjust the award upwards for inflation since the date of the accident.
