Feeling Ignored After Praise: Can I Take Legal Action for My Employer's Silence?

vaas37
I have been offered appreciation for the outstanding work assignment by my employer. However, after completing the assignment, the employer is simply ignoring the accomplishment and, in turn, asking for my resignation. When this happened, I forwarded an email from my official mail ID to both the boss requesting a letter of appreciation or acknowledgment of my efforts, but they have remained silent to date.

Is there any legal recourse available to address this situation?

My dear friend, when you write a post on a public forum, you should provide complete information. What is the nature of your company (i.e., finished product or service)? What is your department and designation? What kind of work do you do, and why was your work appreciated? Why are your employers now asking for your resignation?

Appreciation is typically given when you achieve something positive or resolve an issue. What specific achievements did you have? Who benefitted from your work? What monetary benefits could your company gain due to your outstanding performance? Does your employer have any doubts about the authenticity of your work?

While excelling in one area, did your performance decline in another? Have you had any conflicts, especially with customers? Is there any negative feedback from customers about you?

Please clarify the above questions, and feel free to provide any additional comments.

I have received appreciation for an outstanding work assignment from my employer. However, after completing the assignment, my employer seems to be ignoring the recognition and is now asking for my resignation.

In response, I forwarded an email from my official email ID to both my bosses requesting a letter of appreciation or any acknowledgment, but they have remained silent to date.

Is there a legal recourse available in this situation?

Thank you.
