Struggling to Retrieve My EPF Account Number After Company Closure – Any Advice?

I had worked with SPANCO BPO (Udyog Vihar Phase - 4, Sector 18, Gurgaon, Haryana). I had worked there for 8 months, and I had resigned. I have submitted the EPF form, and as per HR directions, I had couriered it to the Vashi EPF Office.

Six months have passed, but I have not received my EPF amount yet, and SPANCO BPO is now closed. Therefore, there is no option available to obtain my EPF account number. Please find below the details of the organization:

Do you have a copy of your claim form that you have couriered to the EPF office? If you don't know your EPF number, then why didn't you ask your HR for it or never cared about it while filling out the claim form? If you don't know your EPF number, you need to check your salary slips (if you have them) where you can find the same information. If you don't have salary slips, you should contact SPANCO authorities, the head office, or HR for your EPF number by referring to your appointment or employment letter. Subsequently, you can check the status of your claim and the reasons or problems in the process.

Actually, the main issue is that this SPANCO BPO has been closed now. So, how can I get my EPF account number?

Do you have your payslip? If so, you can check your PF number in that payslip. Mr. Anil has already clearly informed you that the PF application submitted without filling in the PF number will be of no use. It is not possible to trace the records at all. You need to approach only your ex-HR department to provide your details. If they provide your PF number, then only can you claim your PF amount.

You replied to my first question that you don't have a copy of your claim form that you couriered to EPFO, but my second question has still not been answered by you. I believe you must realize what you did or did not do that caused this situation. I hope this time you will consider my second question and answer it properly.

Secondly, about your EPF number and problem, you must visit EPFO at Sector-43, Gurgaon, and register your complaint with the EPF Inspector/Commissioner. Do not forget to carry your original appointment letter, Employee ID (Employee Code, Employee Email), salary slips (Bank Statement showing salary transactions clearly by SPANCO in case of online transfer) if you have them, and other evidence that can prove your employment with SPANCO.

In most of the comments, the members are not giving many details. Check your payslips at least; there you can get your EPF member ID.

Please check your payslip, if available. In the absence of a payslip, try to establish a relationship with the HR person if possible or your seniors who have already claimed. They may be able to provide the establishment code and PF office details wherein you can check for your PF number with the help of the establishment code.
