Do I Need Labor Officer Approval for Digital Payroll Records Under the Factory Act 1948?

anant_bhsl@citehr.com
Would it be required to obtain permission from the labor officer for maintaining computerized records of payroll in accordance with the Factory Act of 1948? Kindly clarify my doubt as soon as possible.

You must submit an application to the Labour Office to seek permission to maintain the soft copy of the Muster Roll, OT Register, and Wages Register. For safety measures, upon completing the month, please load the data onto a CD, take a printout, and file it. In case the entire data gets corrupted, you need not worry because you would only lose the current month's data, which can be easily retrieved without much struggle.
