Early Salary Payment for October 2013

In view of the upcoming festival season, the Maharashtra Government has decided to pay the salary for the month of October 2013 to its employees early, i.e., from 24.10.2013. A copy of the circular in this regard is attached.

Private sector employees are at the mercy of employers. I am of the view that all employers should at least make 75% of the salary available as an advance before the 25th so that employees can do some shopping before Diwali.
