One of our employees has transferred to our branch from another branch. The issue now is that in the previous branch, his salary was 29,000K per month. When I asked my director about his salary, he said it would be 25,000K for this month and last month since he was transferred to our branch at the end of August. The employee is now asking me why a lesser salary was transferred to him. I checked his last salary payslip, and indeed, he was receiving 29,000K. I informed him that I was instructed by our director.
The employee is now questioning how this was done to him and requesting me to speak to the boss to clarify the issue. However, I have already discussed this matter with my boss multiple times, and he instructed me to stick with that salary. Furthermore, he advised me to inform the employee not to worry, focus on work, and if he is not cooperative, suggest that he leaves.
Please provide suggestions on how to address this situation, as I have already discussed this matter 3-4 times with my director.
Regards,
Supriya
