Concerns About Leave Policies and Overtime
I am working for an MNC in the operations department. We are given five optional days off to choose from. On festival days, even if we opt for leave, it is being declined, citing it as a business-as-usual day. We are also required to work on national holidays under the same pretext. It has become mandatory to stretch for overtime for at least two hours every day. The job is necessary for me, but I'm working for my family. Despite being with them, I feel distant due to these policies.
If we take any leaves, including paid or annual leaves, they are considered negatives, and our attendance is marked as RED/Not meeting. Are there any Indian labor policies that could help in discussions with HR? How can I deal with this situation and the mandatory overtime? How should these issues be addressed?
I seek your guidance in this matter as I want to rebuild my familial relationships and address the flawed leave policies here.
Regards,
