How to Handle Frequent Absences: Seeking Advice on Issuing Warning Notices in a Small Company

Dear Seniors, I have one query. Ours is a manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. company. In our company, employees do not exceed 10. Two employees have not been reporting to work consistently for the last 4-6 months. Their working days in a month are not more than 20. These employees have been absent due to medical reasons and other personal issues. They take permission for leave for 2 days but do not report to duty for the next 10-15 days. I want to know the procedure for issuing a warning notice or memo to them. Also, I would like to understand the procedure and effects of such action on our Pvt. Ltd. company. All employees are covered under PF & ESI. Please assist at your earliest convenience.

Addressing Employee Motivation and Recruitment Issues

Your problem is far deeper. I doubt whether it can be eradicated by the issue of just a warning letter. Your post raises a question in one's mind: do the staff working with you want the employment or not? Do they have another business too?

While selecting employees, check their attitude as well. Your problems are because of the wrong attitude of the employees.
