Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers & Their Rehabilitation Act 2013

Please find attached the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers & Their Rehabilitation Act 2013, which was notified by the Government on 19.9.2013 for your information. The Act prohibits the construction of insanitary latrines and the employment of manual scavengers. It will come into force on a date decided by the Government through notification.
