Dear Sir,

The government is going to increase the wage ceiling of ESI from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000. But what about the Provident Fund ceiling? Will it increase or not?

Thank you.

Dear All,

It is really not fair. Earlier, the salary cap for ESI has been revised in a reasonable time and at a reasonable rate. But now, just to attract people, the government has increased the limit. Within a period of three years from the last revision, they are increasing the cap by Rs. 10,000.

If this decision is final, then many employees will never be able to come out of the ESIC Scheme. While the scheme is good, the usage is minimal. Most employees prefer to visit private hospitals and clinics instead. Hoping that the services and mindset of people managing the show change.

Sir,

We currently provide INSURANCE POLICIES to those who earn above 15000 in salary. In this scenario, will the amendment coming into effect after one month make ESI Deductions compulsory or unnecessary?

Kindly advise on this matter.

Thank you,
HRD
