My brother has been working for a private firm in the banking sector since December 2012 and has consistently received excellent performance ratings. However, his reporting boss is now harassing him to resign without providing a valid reason. Due to the intolerable level of harassment he is facing, my brother has decided to submit his resignation. The company is now requesting him to serve a 45-day notice period. I would appreciate your guidance on whether the company can withhold his salary after the notice period has been served.
