Provident Fund Applicability on Dearness Allowances

Is the Provident Fund applicable to Dearness Allowances, even if the wages paid exceed the minimum wage?

Hi, yes, PF contribution is on both Basic & DA. If the basic wages are above 6500/-, then you shall restrict it to the ceiling limit.

Dear Sweety,

Your company does not have a PF code, so the deduction of 12% from your salary was incorrect. I suggest you file a complaint against your company with the labor commission along with proof of salary.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Regards,
