Worried About Past Job Termination Affecting Your Civil Services Selection? Here's What to Consider

I was working in an IT company, which I had to leave due to some reasons without giving a notice period, so they terminated me. I have paid the bond money. Now I have applied for Civil Services, and in my mains form, I need to give the details of my previous employment. I wanted to know whether this termination would have an effect on my selection. Now, if I want to have a settlement with the company, what is the procedure for the same?

You need to first clarify whether you were terminated or asked to leave. If you were terminated, were you given any termination letter? If you were not given a termination letter and instead received only a relieving letter, then it should not be a concern for you. Since you are applying for Civil Service Exams, you need to mention the facts and documents you have with you.

Actually, I had some issues in my family for which I had to leave as early as possible. I informed my manager that I wouldn't be able to continue and left the same day. Subsequently, the company started sending me warning letters for my absence. I informed them that it was not possible for me to rejoin as I had already paid the bond money. They requested that I clear my dues regarding the notice period and other expenses (approximately 36,000). In case of failure to do so, they terminated my employment.

What should I do now, sir?
