Backdoor Jobs in MNCs: Are They Real or Just a Scam? Seeking Your Experiences and Advice

Hi all! I am a resident of Hyderabad, India. I came across a person who has promised to get me a job through a backdoor process in an MNC (name confidential). He is charging Rs. 1.4 Lakh, of which Rs. 15k has to be paid initially, and then the rest through monthly installments from the salary I earn.

Question About Backdoor Jobs

My question is, "Do BACKDOOR JOBS really exist?" Have you or any of your acquaintances gotten a job through this process? I know there are over 95% frauds out there, but is there even a minute chance to get a job through that process? The person says that I will be attending the interview as per the regular process at the office; it's just that I need not be worried over the selection, as the head of the HR panel will be the person in contact.

Kindly give your valuable suggestions and also mention the source of your knowledge.

Beware of Backdoor Job Promises

Don't fall prey to people who promise you so-called backdoor jobs. Get a job based on your skills and qualifications. Even if there are some chances of these entries in organizations, how can you ensure that the person you are referring to is genuine? You can never know.

I very well agree with Atul Sharma's post. Such backdoor jobs will not stand for long, and by engaging in them, you will only ruin your career with your own hands. Once you get blacklisted, just imagine "the worst" for you and your family for the rest of your lifespan.

So, have patience and work hard; try with all the passion within you for the right job you're looking for. You will surely have a job in your hand in no time.

I also want to give one suggestion: don't prioritize money at the beginning of your career. The start may be slow, but once you perform well, you will gradually receive good hikes, promotions, etc.

A young man wished to marry the farmer's beautiful daughter. He went to the farmer to ask for his permission.

The farmer looked at him and said, "Son, go stand out in that field. I'm going to release three bulls, one at a time. If you can catch the tail of any one of the three bulls, you can marry my daughter."

The young man stood in the field, awaiting the first bull. The barn door opened, and out came the biggest, meanest-looking bull he had ever seen.

He decided that one of the next bulls had to be a better choice than this one, so he ran over to the side and let the bull pass through.

The barn door opened again. Unbelievable. He had never seen anything so big and fierce in his life. It stood pawing the ground, eyeing him. Whatever the next bull was like, it had to be a better choice than this one, he thought. He ran to the fence and let the bull pass through.

The door opened a third time. A smile came across his face. This was the weakest bull he had ever seen. This one was his bull, he said to himself. As the bull came running by, he positioned himself just right and jumped at just the exact moment. He threw his hands to grab... But alas... The bull had no tail.

Life is full of opportunities. Always grab the first one.

I echo Atul and Anand. No matter how much you need a job, please save your money to apply through the proper channel. Please do not fall prey to such schemes. We know you would eventually find the dream job. Wish you all the best!

I don't say that there are no backdoor entry jobs. However, I would like to let you know that these kinds of jobs do not last long. Even if you opt for a job by paying money, you will always have the thought that your job is secure because you have paid money, and nothing will happen even if you don't perform. It might also be the case that the person/broker/consultant is just referring you, and you get the job based on your own capabilities, yet you still pay the person, assuming that he was the main connection in the process.

Incident in a Reputed Company

An incident occurred in a reputed company where I worked. Once, when an employee was called in to discuss his attitude issue, during the probing, he stated, "Why should I change my attitude when I have paid for this job?" This statement actually created resentment in me. Upon investigation, we found out that one of the senior project managers had given assurance or promised the job and had taken some amount after the offer letter was issued.

And so the reasons go on...

This approach is not going to help you in any way. It would be better if you would stand away from all this mess and try to secure a job on your own. Good luck!

These kinds of promises are fake. These people are in the business of making money by fooling and robbing fresh and unemployed people under the pretext of offering them a lucrative job. They would take the money and vanish.

Please do not fall prey to these "lucrative offers." Whatever job you secure based on your own merits is always better.

Mdrafi, I guess you did not get what others mentioned above. If you are keen on taking the backdoor, why do you need any suggestions? As told by the others, even if you get an entry, you can't withstand for long because the route you have taken is not the right path. If you still want to try, please go ahead and welcome your own problems as a guest. Imagine yourself getting blacklisted. I'm sure you are still hopeful to land a job through the backdoor, so make sure you do not get cheated. Good luck.

What an appalling response! No matter how many careers you claim to build, please let us know when you use ethical ways to build them. We certainly hope you will. Wish you all the best!

Everybody who is related to recruitment knows about this process, and let me tell you that there are a lot of people who have already fallen prey to the same. We strongly condemn it and advise you to outrightly reject any talks related to it. When people stop paying them, only then will these individuals stop this kind of work. However, many times companies do not pay consultancies and allow them to charge candidates. In this scenario, a genuine consultant does not charge more than 8.33%, i.e., one month's salary (most commonly for fresher candidates).
