Guidance For My Project On 'Employee Engagement'

Dear All,
I am a second year MBA(HR) student.I have filtered a broad theme 'Employee Engagement' for my dissertation project.
I need a guidance on narrowing down the topic and if I choose this topic,what all can be the various ways and paths of going about the research.
It will be a 6 month research project[along with the classes going on :) ].

In order to narrow it down, you need to read scholarly articles to find out what others have done, how, and why that way. Also, you need kindly to tell us where you will be doing the project and what limitations you will face. For example a student doing a project in a company was told that she won't get access to secondary data, let alone primary data.

I have 2 options of doing the project
1. A live project in an organization(which I can visit once in a fortnight,because my classes will also go on simultaneously)
2. A general project selecting any sector(for which I will do a secondary research and also primary research(survey method) and analyze.
