How Can I Narrow Down My Employee Engagement Dissertation Topic? Seeking Guidance!

Guidance Needed for Employee Engagement Dissertation

I am a second-year MBA (HR) student. I have chosen the broad theme of 'Employee Engagement' for my dissertation project. I need guidance on narrowing down the topic. If I choose this topic, what are the various ways and paths to approach the research? This will be a 6-month research project (along with ongoing classes).

In order to narrow it down, you need to read scholarly articles to find out what others have done, how, and why they did it that way. Additionally, you need to let us know where you will be conducting the project and what limitations you may encounter. For instance, a student working on a project within a company was informed that she would not have access to secondary data, let alone primary data.

Thank you for your guidance! I have two options for doing the project:

1. A live project in an organization (which I can visit once a fortnight because my classes will also be ongoing simultaneously).
2. A general project selecting any sector (for which I will conduct secondary research and also primary research using the survey method for analysis).
