H.R Scope In Hotel Industry

what are the scope for Human Resource Management in Hotel industry ?
Am a hotel management graduate and a M.B.A in Hospitality Management ,
Would like to knnow if i get into hotels as in for the post of a HR executive , what are the career scope .

Hi,
You have chosen the right industry and make your self prepared to handle for any kind problem that occurs @ work. With respect to hotel industry you will have limited exposure in terms of all parts of HR. It can be start but for you to climb the ladder , you have move on after a year's time.

With Graduation in Hotel Management and a MBA in Hospitality Management, why don't you start in Operations.
As far as hospitality business is concerned, operations, front office, guest services, housekeeping, sales, restaurant, food & beverage, training are some of the challenging areas, right? As the Hospitality business is very much human capital oriented, HR functions are more or less overlapped with operational profiles. So my suggestion is to start career in core operations and may be after certain years, try HR as a specialized career

Ok , Because currently am working for a consultancy , as a HR recruiter , after some experience i will be trying to get into hotels because even being an M.B.A hotels ask for experience , and being from hotel management background i want to see my self in hospitality field as in HR department ,
Please suggest me , how do i break this ice ...........

I have a different opinion here....
With your education HR in Hotel industry would be right fit as long as you select a MNC company where HR processes are given prime importance. You knowledge in Hospitality will be an added advantage to be in HR.
Please go ahead and look for a Brand Hotel for better future.

Hi Sir ..i have completed my m.com and i am working as an accountant in hotel. I have got an opportunity to work with another new hotel so can u please suggest me for which post i should apply- For Account or For HR.......I am so confused because i don't know which field has more advantage in terms of salary growth and promotions ....please help me
