How Can I Finally Get My Unpaid Dues After Leaving a Company Over a Year Ago?

sarita2020
Dear Seniors, I was working in a Ltd company and worked for around 2 years. I had given a proper resignation from the position and served a notice period of 30 days as required. I received my relieving and experience letters; however, more than one and a half years have passed, and I still have not received my full final amount. I have written numerous emails to the company but have not received any response, not even from the MD of the company, despite escalating the matter to him.

Steps to Resolve Unpaid Dues

Now, please suggest what steps I should take in this situation.

Thanks & Regards, Sarita

You can send them a final intimation to get your F&F amount, mentioning that if they do not respond, you can proceed with legal action against the company.

One and a half years is too long a period. Why did you wait for such a long time? What you need to do is to contact a lawyer who handles labor cases. However, before that, I recommend you contact the labor office in your area (i.e., where your company is located). Submit a written application to the labor officer. Try to find out if you can resolve the dispute. If nothing happens, then you may send a lawyer's notice. If still nothing happens, your lawyer will advise you on what to do.

Thank you to both of you for your valuable suggestions. Hi Prabhat, as per your suggestions, I had sent the final intimation to the company stating that if I do not receive a favorable response now, legal action against the company will be necessary. I will come back with the response.

Thanks & Regards,
Sarita
