Hazards in Welding
Hazards include the inhalation of fumes from welding. The risk depends on the metal being used and the flux applied.
The next hazard is injury to the eye if the welder doesn't wear safety goggles. This is due to the ultraviolet light emitted during welding and the infrared rays emitted during the same process. The risk involves short-term injury and, at times, may result in loss of eyesight due to retinal damage.
Lead poisoning during welding is the most common risk in the welding process.
