Is It Difficult For Freshers To Get A Core HR Generalist Profile?

I have completed my MPM from Pune University and worked for 11 months in a recruitment consultancy firm. Unfortunately, due to some personal reasons, I had to leave the job and have been unemployed for almost 9 months now. I am really eager to start my career in the HR field, specifically in a generalist profile rather than just recruitment. However, it is proving challenging as I have a career gap and lack generalist experience. Please help me with advice on how to start, where to apply, and how I can secure a core HR job.

What is a core HR Generalist profile? I have been working for the past 4 years, taking care of all HR activities from employees' joining to exit. This includes recruitments, payroll, statutory compliances, labor laws, MIS, attendance, various letter drafting, handling clients, employee engagements, employee welfare activities, and many other HR tasks.

Do I refer to it as a core HR generalist profile, or is something extra required for this?

Well, it's not very difficult to get a job after a break; it completely depends on your resume and how you handle interviews. However, it can be quite challenging to directly secure a Generalist role. You might need to start as a trainee or intern. Let me know if I can assist you in this regard.
