What kind of industry are you in, and what kind of operations do you handle?
Since you have a background in operations, you are far more suited to be an HR professional. However, this could mark a major career shift for you, and I recommend that you give it a second thought before seeking this change.
I say this because Operations typically have more influence over HR in most industries. Apart from core HR, service functions of HR like payroll or statutory activities are often outsourced. However, operations cannot be outsourced. Additionally, in your MBA, the concepts you learned in OB are those that an Ops manager should demonstrate on the shop floor or while handling operations. Concepts such as teamwork, communication, and conflict handling are crucial for an Ops manager to know. Just because you have an MBA in HR does not necessarily mean you should work in the HR Department. Your knowledge of HR will enable you to succeed in any role.
I encourage you to create a proper career plan. Conduct a SWOT analysis of your career and then make a decision.
