What kind of your industry is and what kind of operations you handle?
Since you have operations background, you are far more suited to be HR professional. However, this could be your major career shift and I recommend you giving second thought before asking for this change.
I say so because Ops obviously holds more sway over HR in most of the industries. Except core HR, service functions of HR like payroll or statutory activities are getting outsourced. However, nobody can outsource the operations. Secondly, in your MBA, the concepts what you learnt in OB those concepts Ops manager should demonstrate on shop floor or while handling the Ops. Concepts of teamwork, communication, conflict handling Ops manager need to know most. Just because you have done MBA (HR) does not mean you should necessarily work in HR Department. Your knowledge of HR will make you succeed anywhere.
You may do proper career plan. Do the SWOT analysis of your career and then take a decision.
