How Can I Smoothly Transition Employees from Contract to Direct Hire and Pursue HR Studies?

Hi, I am Ramadevi working as a Manager for Admin/Purchase in a small MNC company. Currently, I am also handling HR responsibilities along with the aforementioned roles, providing support to production and maintenance. However, I do not have full experience in HR. I am able to prepare attendance reports, coordinate HR activities, and calculate salaries and EPF.

Transitioning Employees from Contract to Direct Employment

My current challenge is that up to now, we have had employees under contract, but starting next month, they will be directly employed by the company. I am seeking suggestions on how to effectively manage this transition and what documents we need to collect from the contractor before terminating their services.

Pursuing HR Studies

Additionally, I am interested in pursuing part-time HR studies. Could you recommend any universities in Andhra Pradesh that offer one-year diploma courses in HR through distance education?

I always review your emails to learn about new topics.

I believe you don't want to collect any documents from the contract. However, you should provide the termination letter of the contract from the contractor and obtain the acknowledgment. Afterward, you can commence with the recruitment process and adhere to the checklist for the employee personnel file.

Every employee should have a personnel file, and all documents, applications, or correspondence should be filed in their respective files.
