I have been working with TCS for the last 2.5 years. I have around 60,000 in my PF account. Now, I am planning to pursue higher education and would like to withdraw the amount. Could you please guide me on the withdrawal procedure? Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hi, after being relieved from your employment, only you can withdraw your PF. For that, you should wait for a certain number of months and then submit withdrawal Form 10C and Form 19.

Considerations for Withdrawing PF Amount

It is advisable to allow the PF amount to grow and earn you compounded interest rather than withdraw it unless it is such an emergency and you have no other avenue (which should not be the case as banks do give education loans). Years later, you will feel happy you did not touch your PF.
