HSD Storage

Hi
I want to know the safety precautions to be taken when we store 600 lts of HSD and 200 ltrs of Lubricant Oil at construction site. fire Precautions, Ground level etc.,

Dear Vamsi,
Please find below points for Oil,Lubricants & Diesel storage------
===> Storage area keep away from Electrical DB's, office ,canteen & workers rest area at construction site
===> Provide solid surface with PPC & Concrete ,Don't keep slippery surface
===> Keep in cool & dry place with overhead protection , safe from direct sun rays and rain
===> Display MSDS(Material Safety Data Sheet) and follow all precaution as given MSDS
===> Display "NO SMOKING" Board Near storage area and strictly prohibited fire near the area
===> Keep a fire point near storage area with FOAM Type Fire Extinguisher
===> Only authorized person allow for fill and distribute the oil
===> Keep Locked the storage area
===> Keep clean the storage area & maintain Good housekeeping.

Don't use any lighting system inside the storage area of Diesel or any other oil. it will create more heat & possible to get fire easily.
