Please find below points for Oil, Lubricants, and Diesel storage:
- Storage area should be kept away from Electrical DB's, office, canteen, and workers' rest area at the construction site.
- Provide a solid surface with PPC and Concrete; do not keep a slippery surface.
- Keep in a cool and dry place with overhead protection, safe from direct sun rays and rain.
- Display MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and follow all precautions as given in the MSDS.
- Display a "NO SMOKING" Board near the storage area and strictly prohibit fires in the area.
- Keep a fire point near the storage area with a FOAM Type Fire Extinguisher.
- Only authorized personnel are allowed to fill and distribute the oil.
- Keep the storage area locked.
- Keep the storage area clean and maintain good housekeeping.
