There is just a query I need to discuss. In most companies, including mine, we expect employees to give a notice period of 1 month before leaving the company. The fact is that no new company waits for 1 month for an employee. Due to this, what happens is employees resign without giving a notice period, as they know they can't give a notice of 1 month. If they continue to come for some more days, it will not be fruitful, as they will not be paid for those days by the company.
I want to know, is it right and a practical decision to reduce the notice period by an employee to 15 days? Or is there any other manner where we can prevent employees from leaving in a day.
