Mandatory Public Holiday 2013

Hello,
I am working as HR in IT. Could you please let me know
whether 1st May and 2nd October are mandatory holidays for IT companies?

Hi Amruta,
Both the said days are mandatory holiday, It is mandatory in Maharashtra Bombay Shops and Commercial Establishments Act and all this days are paid holiday- 26th January, 1st May, 15th August and 2nd Ocotber.
