Can I Claim My PF from a Previous 4-Month Contract After Switching Jobs?

After 4 months of a contract with one company, I have joined another company and completed a 7-month duration. Can I apply for PF from the first organization? Will I be able to claim it now?

You can transfer the PF of the previous company to the present company by sending Form 13. Legally, you cannot withdraw the PF amount of the previous company while you are a PF member in the current organization. Moreover, since the service with the previous company was less than 6 months, on withdrawal, you will not get the Pension Fund contribution of your employer. Therefore, it is advisable to transfer it.
