Struggling to Get a Service Certificate After 2 Years of Work: What Can We Do?

Issue with Obtaining a Service Certificate

My friend has been working in a software company for 2 years. After 2 years, due to some reason, my friend did not go back to that company. After a span of 9 months, when he returned to the company, they asked him to pay a certain amount. After making the payment and receiving an official receipt, he obtained the relieving order from the company. However, the HR department is now refusing to issue a service certificate for the 2 years he worked there. We are concerned about this as those 2 years of experience are significant. Can we still obtain the service certificate? What steps should he take? Your advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Your friend may receive the service certificate, but before that, could you please elaborate on the discussion your friend had with the HR of the company regarding why they have denied giving it to him? I understand that none of the members in the forum would be able to definitively say yes or no based solely on this information, as their perception would be purely assumption-based.

Thank you.
