Need Help With Withdrawing PF: Should I Send Forms to IBM Pune or Bangalore PF Office?

karthickk4
I'm currently self-employed in Chennai. I was working for IBM Pune between 2007 and 2009, and their PF office was in Bangalore. It's been almost four years since I quit my job, but I have yet to withdraw my PF. Can someone explain the process and form details to be submitted? Also, should I send the form to my Pune IBM office or directly to the Bangalore PF office? Any help would be much appreciated.

You have to submit your form to the Pune office. From that location, you have to coordinate and follow up after the necessary time. I suggest you submit your Form 19 & 10C to your Pune office. From there, you can trace your withdrawal application. Nowadays, there is a facility to receive SMS alerts once your PF form is registered with your original PF office. Additionally, you will receive an alert when your claim is approved, as well as when your PF balance is credited to your bank account. If you are not receiving SMS alerts from the PF office, it indicates that your PF form has not been submitted by your HR coordinators. It makes sense to follow up with them. I hope your query is now clear.

After due counter-attestation in Form 19 & 10 C, along with a Xerox copy of your bank passbook and identity proof (such as a driving license or photo ID card), and Form 5/10 from an authorized officer of IBM Pune, mention your mobile number in the forms. Submit the form to the Bangalore EPFO office.

After submitting the form to the Provident Fund office, you will receive an SMS and a unique identification number for the forms submitted. Upon settlement of your claim in the Accounts branch of the PF office, you will receive an SMS indicating the amount.

Nowadays, the PF amount is disbursed to your bank through NEFT, typically within 2 to 4 days after the claim settlement.
