Why Do We Need a Separate Sales License When We Already Have a Factory License?

I am working in the automobile sector. My establishment is engaged in sales and service activities. For this, the establishment obtained a factory license, and now the management is planning to acquire a shop and establishment license for sales activities alone.

My question is, why do we need a separate license for sales activities if we already have one license? Please advise.

If the manufacturing venue and administrative office are located separately in different locations, one must have a factory license and registration under the S&E Act. In your case, you have the manufacturing division, which needs the factory license, and for the service center, you need S&E registration.
