House Rent Allowances

Dear Sir,
Is contract labours are entitled to get HRA.
Our labour contractor added HRA separately in bill apart from daily wages.

As a matter of fact you can provide them the Labour Accommodation for all the workers engaged by you through contractors. If you are not providing the labour accommodation then you can proceed further with your Letter of Indent/Work Order issued to the Contractor.

Dear Sir,
Is there any Labour rule available or amended to pay HRA for contract labours. As there is no discussion of HRA in our work order with labour contractor. But now he is saying new rule to pay HRA.

Does your state have any act for payment of HRA such as in State of Maharashtra there is an Act namely The Maharashtra Workments Minimum House Rent Allowance Act ?
If yes then you will have to pay at least the minimum HRA.
