It's been 50 days since I joined my service provider company. I provided them with my documents for the procurement of a Tata Indicom connection for the office without any questions and had them write a letter stating no risk/liability for the same. However, they haven't given me my appointment letter yet, nor my salary for the first month. They are not granting me leaves when urgently needed, which was only for one day.

What should I do? I am also pursuing M.Com and require at least 2-3 days of leave in a month. During the appointment interview, they promised to provide me with an assistant so that there are no issues when I am on leave. Should I continue with this job?

Did they provide any appointment letter? What is mentioned in that? If you are unhappy and feel they are using you, then you can start looking for another job. In case you can afford it, concentrate on your studies and try to achieve a high percentage.

Please read carefully and take all the first three steps in one day only with top secrecy from your current organization because if this came to their knowledge, they will create a criminal case against you. I have seen many cases of this kind.

1.0 You must take a copy of attendance records and other records, whatsoever it is, to prove yourself an employee of that company.

2.0 Visit your nearest labor commissioner and submit your complaint in writing to him as well as to the local SP's office.

3.0 You must go for an FIR directly from the SP office for your salary and documents.

4.0 As a professional, you must resign instead of getting absconded because I understand where you are currently working and what situation will arise if you leave the organization without resigning.

5.0 After step 3.0, you must hand over the charge (office assets or whatever you have) in front of a legally valid officer.

Please do not accept the company's assurance at face value, as you have already seen how they have defaulted on their assurances.
