Good day to all! I am taking my chance if you could help me with my query. I have been searching for an exact answer for quite some time now, but I could not find an answer on the web that suits my needs.
Absconding Case and Airfare Responsibility
So, my question goes like this: In the event that the company files an absconding case against the employee, who will bear the cost of the airfare? My company is in the construction industry. I have heard that it is the responsibility of the employer. Can you confirm? (Although, I really object to this idea wherein, in the first place, it is the employee who put himself, as well as the employer, into trouble.)
I would appreciate it very much if you could also provide a link or an article from labor law to justify your position. I hope you can enlighten and educate me on this matter. Thank you very much for your help.
