ESI is applicable in case your employee strength is 10 or more. Generally, your company needs to have the following:
- Memorandum and Articles of Association
- Copy of Employee Strength
- Copies of Attendance/wage register for the month in which 10 or more were employed for wages
- Copy of PAN Application
- Copy of Registration Certificate under The Delhi Shops and Establishments Act, 1954
- License under Contract (Registration & Abolition) Act
- Rent/Lease deed ownership documents/tax paid receipt, as applicable
- Bank Account Details
- EPF Code No., if any
- Name and Address of clients to whom services are rendered with copies of their acceptance letters. If they are separately covered under ESI, their code number should be furnished.
Get your documents ready and go to the regional ESIC office for submission and processing.
Update on Employee Strength Requirement
Just a small update that, since Anshul's establishment may be categorized as a "shop" and in a distributorship, there is no "Manufacturing Process" as defined in the ESIC Act, the applicable employee strength shall be 20. A headcount of 20-10 is applicable when some "manufacturing process" is carried out.
Thank you.
