PF Withdrawal Before 5 Years [Thread 42796]

vamsi_m53
I have worked for a company for 2 and half years and now I moved to a
different organization. Now I want to withdraw PF from my account.Only 3 years
have been completed since the PF account has been created.
Will any tax be deducted on my PF amount if I withdraw it now.
Somebody told me that if I withdraw the PF amount before 5 years from the
date of opening the account 30% tax will be deducted on the PF amount.
Can somebody give clarification on this.

There will be no tax deduction on PF withdrawl.

Dear friend,
PF can be withdrawn by filling up Form no. 19 (PF) and 10C (EPS). Other forms as required, will be filled up by your HR Department.
Further, no tax will be deducted on your withdrawal. You may fill the forms after around 3 months from the date of your leaving the service.
