Understanding Labour Welfare Fund Contributions: Wage Ceiling and Supervisory Cadre Explained

RAMU-HR
Respected seniors, can anyone clarify my query on Labour Welfare Fund contributions? As per the AP LWF Act, we have to deduct Rs. 2 from the employee, and the employer has to pay Rs. 5 for each employee.

Query:

1. What is the wage ceiling to deduct LWF?
2. What is the meaning of supervisory cadre and who should be placed under the cadre?

Regards,
Ramu

The AP Labour Welfare Fund must be paid by the end of January every year by filling out Form F and remitting a Demand Draft to the AP Labour Welfare Commissioner's Office. The contribution is ₹7 per head (₹2 from the employee's side and ₹5 from the employer's side) annually. You must submit this along with the list of workmen who worked during the preceding year. There is no wage ceiling for deducting the LWF.

No Wage Ceiling for Deducting LWF

There is no wage ceiling for deducting the Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) in any state. However, the applicability of LWF is determined based on the designation of the employee.

Employees holding officer and manager designations are not covered under the LWF contribution. Thank you.

LWF only deducts under the labor cadre. Therefore, you need not deduct except for the labor cadre.

You have to deduct the LWF from all cadres, except for those who have the authority to appoint or terminate, and where there is no wage ceiling.

Good evening all,

Wishing you a very happy new year. Can anyone share the Form F (New) for the Welfare Fund?
