How To Calculate The Learning Index Of A Training

Prashant Kr. Chauhan
Hello,
Can any one tell me the formula to calculate the learning index of a training session. e.g. if pre training score is 3 out of 10 and post training score is 8 out of 10, than what is the learning index?
Kindly suggest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi....
if i am not wrong then learning index is calculated as follows:-
pre training score = 3/10
after training score = 8/10
learning index = (8-3)/3
= 5/3 = 1.67
but i am really not sure about it. So till then please wait for other's response as well. Sorry if there is something wrong......

hello
I have got the right formula for calculating learning index. As you must be knowing that learning index is calculated to know the improvement in the performance of the candidate from the base that is pre-training score that was 3 in your case. So pre training score is 3 that is the base from which we have started and achieved 8 as post training score. So the difference bertween the two is used to calculate improvement...
learning index= (post test score-pre test score)/(total score-pre test score)
so putting values from ur case it comes out as follows:-
L.I. = (8-3)/ (10-3) = 5/7 = .7142857
we can convert it into percentage, so it becomes 71.42857%
I hope i am able to solve the problem well.
Take Care
