What Key Points Should Be Included in a Performance Management System?

Hi, I need help in collecting data on some important facts or points that need to be included in PMS.

Your post is too short. You could have given a few more details, such as whether you are a student or a practicing HR manager, and why you have taken up this assignment. Designing the right KPIs is the soul of PMS. For every department, you need to institute primary, secondary, and tertiary KPIs. The worst thing is that many times business leaders or HR professionals do not understand the difference between KPIs and KRAs. Even if they do understand the difference, they may be incapable of designing the KRAs.

Secondly, the concept of PMS should not be restricted to the HR Department alone; it is pervasive across the organization. Thirdly, the concept of PMS should not be limited to annual performance appraisals or salary increments, but it is a major OD initiative that instills a culture of measurement within the organization.

Hi Dinesh, Thanks for the response. Basically, I am looking for important things or points to be considered while implementing PMS in an organization. How can we make PMS different in our company compared to others? Please suggest.

Thanks,
Ankita
