Thank you for sharing the information. Could you please provide more details on the "Copy of Agreement" required for the purchase of a house/flat by the member? Is the agreement required to be in the name of the member or their spouse only? Or can it be in the name of the member's father/mother?

Thank you,
RituS

Dear friends, please find attached the circular dated 5.6.2012 on the above subject. Thank you for your valuable sharing. I would like to seek further clarification on this matter. For the purpose of a housing loan, the proposed property must be in the name of the applicant or jointly held with the spouse only. If the property is held jointly with a son or daughter, father, or mother, it is not acceptable. Are there any changes to this condition?

I have a query regarding PF & ESI deductions on Labour Charges. If our company is hiring contractual labor for repair or maintenance work lasting 2 to 3 days, and the contractor does not have PF or ESIC numbers, as the Principal employer, are we required to deduct PF/ESI for the labor?

- What will be the total percentage for this deduction? Is it based on the total charges, per day, or only on the service charges?
- What is the process for depositing these deductions with the EPF department?
- Are there any delay charges if we deposit the amount with the EPFO department for the past 2 years?

I would appreciate your feedback on these questions.

Thanks and Regards,
Ritu
