There is no specific safety supervisor qualification in the Indian industry and construction sectors. The BOCW (Building and Other Construction Workers) Act and the Factories Act are guiding the minimum qualifications for a safety officer. What exactly are you looking for?

Which state's rule mentions the requirement you referred to in the previous post: "After completing a Diploma Certificate Course in Safety Engineering, one can become a Safety Supervisor"?

"Safety Supervisor" is not a position defined in any act or rule. The management of any industry or construction site appoints this position to assist their safety officer in handling the nature of hazards present. This implies that any individual can be appointed as a Safety Supervisor since they are accountable solely to their boss or Safety Officer/Manager.

Please see the Tamil Nadu Safety Officers (Duties, qualifications, and conditions of service) Rules, 2005. You may also refer to the prospectus of the Government of India, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Directorate General Factory Advice Service & Labour Institutes - Regional Labour Institute, Chennai. This institute offers a one-year Diploma course in Industrial Safety, for which the Diploma is awarded by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu.
