New to HR: Are PF and Returns Part of My Daily Responsibilities?

Respected Seniors, I am new in HR and have recently joined as an HR Trainee. I want to understand the daily general functions and whether PF and returns are also part of HR. I am very confused about this. Please provide me with some clarity.

Yes, the same is a part of HR, but you may also hire a PF consultant for the same.

PF returns are also a part of HR. Apart from that, there are many functions of HR such as statutory returns, salary, training, housekeeping, etc. Search on the Research menu at the top, and you will definitely get an answer. Not only is recruitment a part of HR, but there are also many functional areas:

1. Training
2. Employee Welfare
3. Employee Engagement
4. Statutory (PF/PT/ESIC/MSLWB, etc.)
5. Salary and Wages
6. Appraisal

PF returns, their monthly payment, and record maintenance are also included in HR activities. Most organizations hire consultants for these tasks, depending on the number of employees.
