Stuck with PF Closure for Over 8 Months – How Can I Resolve This Issue?

I worked for an MNC in Chennai for more than a year, and after being relieved from the organization, I sent the PF closure form (form 10c+19) along with my bank statement. Now, it has been almost more than 8 months, and I learned from the PF office that my forms have not yet been received by the office. What should I do to get my PF closed? Please guide me in this regard.

I recommend checking with the concerned HR personnel in your previous organization. Sometimes, there are instances where HR may have accidentally misplaced your documents.

The PF settlement forms have to go through your previous employer only since the form has sections that can only be filled out by your previous employer.

PF closure can be done by the individual directly. He/she needs to get certain sections filled up by the previous employer and directly go over to the PF office and apply for closure. An acknowledgment will be issued based on which the individual can follow up if funds are not received in the designated bank account after 4-6 weeks.
