Payment of less than the minimum rates of wages is an offense under Section 12 of the Act and simultaneously attracts a claim under Section 20(2) of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.

Revised Minimum Wages in Odisha

The minimum wages in Odisha have been revised to:

- Agri (ploughing): Rs. 150
- Non-Agri: Rs. 150
- Skilled: Rs. 190
- Highly skilled: Rs. 205
