Increase Of 5% Hike In Salary From April

Dear All,
Management has said me to increase 5%of salary to employees. I want to know this 5% should we increase in Basic. Pl elaborate as I am very confused.
What are the different ways we can do and which way it will be beneficial to employees.

You just ask to your managemnet it will increse in basic or CTC.
Generally industries increase salery on CTC of their employee.
