Labor Holiday - May 1st - Pdf Download

IT professionals are not Laborers. So, it is required that an IT company registered under the Shops & Establishments Act declare May 1st (Labor Day) as Holiday.

it is not question of labour.
The day is celebrated for those who work under someone.
I think you are Owner of the Company that might be reason that do't like this day....?

Here u need to understand first is the definition of term labour.
it perofessionals are also comes under the definition of workman.
Law is equal for all human, it's human who think him superior than other human being

Is it mendatory to give holiday on 1st may for labour/workers.
Is it as per any act or it deoands on company to company?

I find one GOM notification on List of Holiday.

In United Arab Emirates no matter whether General Manager or a oridinary Labour , you have to carry the Labour card issued by the ministry all the time if not penalized. So, what is it a fuss about the word or holiday?
