Are Employees on "No Work, No Pay" Policies Entitled to Holiday Pay?

Hi, I would just like to ask if an employee under the "no work, no pay" policy is entitled to holiday pay. Your response to this matter is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

In the Philippine setting, there are specific ways to determine when and how to pay holiday credits.

Holiday Pay for Daily-Paid Employees

If you are a daily-paid employee and do not report for work on a "special holiday," you will not receive holiday pay, which is 30%. However, if it is a "Legal Holiday," and you work the day before the holiday, you are entitled to an 8-hour pay or 100%.

Holiday Pay for Monthly-Paid Employees

If you are a monthly-paid employee and work on a special holiday, you will receive an additional 30%. If you do not work, you will still receive 100% of your pay, meaning you will not be marked as absent. On a legal holiday, if you work on that specific date, you receive an additional 100%. If you do not work, you will not be marked as absent.

Thank you.
