That is the reason we must wear the right clothes for the right profession. Awesome pictures. I hope this accident will provide adequate teachings to other employees in that factory.

After seeing these pictures, there are so many questions arising in my mind. I hope there is no foul play from the employer's side. Why have the workers in the factory not been given adequate instructions to work safely? Why has the safety department not analyzed the risk involvement? Why has the safety department not advised the employees in the factory to wear suitable attire to safeguard them from such accidents?

Even if we receive replies to these types of questions, we cannot bring back the life of the employee who lost his life, and the family lost its earning member.

The safety department should be responsible for this. They should not allow employees to wear improper dress.

Thank you.

It is really shocking that the safety department has allowed such a type of dressing. However, sometimes it happens due to some ignorance.

Thank you very much for sharing these pictures. I believe the safety department should take more care of the workers. They need to motivate the people to wear safety clothes and explain the instructions in a clear and understandable way. It is really not good; it should not happen like this. Oh... my God...

Thanks & regards,
Jaya

If something happens, something goes wrong, we all have an option: "SAFETY DEPARTMENT." Please stop blaming others. Safety is everyone's responsibility, not only the safety department's. As a safety professional, if I wanted to blame someone for this incident, I could blame others, but I don't want to make the same mistake you did. Take ownership, guys, and stop blaming others.

Sorry, Sumaiya! Thanks for sharing a file with us.

Hmmm... a gory sight to watch. In our organization, we have placed a photo near the shredder of a person who accidentally inserted her hand into the machine. This visual warning aims to remind people to be more cautious while operating such dangerous equipment.

Thanks for sharing.

While reading your comment, it's really painful for me. Without knowing the actual reasons, how can you blame the safety department? Without understanding their safety system and safety culture, one can't just guess and blame somebody like this. First and foremost, observing safety is everybody's responsibility. Moreover, pointing fingers at somebody for the cause of an accident is not right. One should seek the truth or facts rather than blaming somebody during an accident investigation. Please do not take this seriously, but one should introspect before pointing fingers at somebody.

Really, it is very painful. Yes, safety rules are for us, but sometimes we avoid them. I agree with Mr. Boss as he mentioned a few things that employers have to provide to employees who work with dangerous machines and equipment.

Such accidents can very well be avoided if proper safety training is imparted to workers from time to time. The instructions from the management should be very clear about what to do and what not to do. I do not see any guards near the moving parts of the machine, which are necessary to be fitted under the law. This clearly shows the negligent behavior of the management towards the workers' safety. These pictures can act as an eye-opener to the workers, management, and government inspectors who monitor the implementation of the Acts and rules in the industry.

This case can be a fit case for investigation by the police to find out whether this is a murder or an accident. The culprits or the responsible people for such an incident should be brought to book and penalized according to the Law of the Land.

Thanks to Mr. Srivastava for bringing it to everyone's notice.

It is a very memorable picture. It is true that every time, the employer should instruct the employee at the beginning of work in the factory. In my opinion, the employer should post notices on each floor and in areas where more machines are located. A security in-charge should also be present to guide people on how to use them.

Please stop blaming victims. It is easy for anyone and everyone to blame the victim and forget the incident until another such accident takes place. We, as professionals, should keep ourselves away from blaming the powerless. We need to analyze the accident in great detail to identify all the factors/causes that may have led to the accident and resulting injury.

This is a good awareness initiative for employees regarding loose clothing. It is not only about the dress but also includes scarves, ornaments, rings, etc. Training for employees and basic hygiene are very important along with raising awareness.
