Can I Use My Bank Statement as Proof of Income When Leaving a Temporary MNC Job?

bhoware.ashish
Hi all, I am working in an MNC as a Trainee Engineer, which has only a sales office in India. I have only an offer letter with me, in which it mentions a stipend of 12,000 for one year. It also mentions that the post is purely temporary, and expenses incurred by the company when I am on duty. They are not providing a payslip. I want to know if I leave the company, can I show my bank statement to a new employer? Also, is it possible for an MNC to appoint a candidate like this? Please guide.

Understanding Stipends and Salary Slips

No one provides a salary slip for a stipend. A stipend is not considered a salary; it is intended to cover the day-to-day costs of a trainee, such as traveling, food, study material, etc.

Yes, you can use your bank statement as proof of your income.

Yes, Sanjeev is absolutely correct. You can show your bank statement along with your offer letter if required.
