Why Did HR Ask for My Feedback and Personal Details? Understanding Their Intent

kolkatamayur
Hi Everyone, Today, I received an email from my HR with the subject "Insight Please.." In the email, it was mentioned that they want to know more about me and how I am feeling about working with us. During the discussion, I was asked about my previous company's name, my birthplace, and my goals. I was also informed that I may be involved in some account-level event work (fun activities) and that my manager will provide feedback every month. Can you please guide me on the purpose of this type of meeting?

In many companies, especially in MNCs, there is a culture of monthly appraisals. They also incorporate fun activities where every employee participates in one committee or another. This is done to provide employees with a break from their hectic work routines and to give them peace of mind in simple terms.

Your HR has asked for your opinion on working with them to understand if you are truly comfortable and adjusted to the working environment. This is to ensure that no employee leaves the company, and corrective actions or changes can be implemented based on the employees' feedback.

These types of meetings are usually conducted to help new employees feel at ease and to gather feedback about their working environment.

I hope this clears up any doubts you may have had.
